Experience
- Numerous compositions performed at New Music Concerts at Clayton College & State University in 1997 and 1999 by college students and music faculty.
- Georgian String Players (principle strings of Atlanta Symphony Orchestra) performed two String Quartets and one String Trio in 1998, 1999, and 2000 Master class in Spivey Hall. I won a cash award for best composition performed in 2000.
- Hand bell choir piece was performed at local church. Have been commissioned to write another work for hand bell choir for spring of 2002.
- Have taught private flute lessons (elementary to college age) on a regular basis since 2000.
- Have taught private instrumentation/orchestration and arranging privately since 2005.
- Three years teaching experience at the college/university level (2 years assistantship, 1 year as faculty).
- Tutoring music theory for undergraduate college students.
- Principle flutist of the Belle Aire Baptist Orchestra (Murfreesboro, TN) and frequent soloist (flute).
Collaborations & Commissions
Belle Aire Baptist Church (2005, 2007, 2008)
Orchestrated a work for full orchestra to be performed at a free public concert. Used hymn from book to write full orchestral work (2007 – For the Beauty of the Earth). Used only a lyric sheet with chords and constructed an entire orchestration for rock band with voice solo (2005 – Story of My Life).

Southern Crescent Symphony Orchestra (2003)
Composition
Commission for a string orchestra work. It was performed September 2003 by the Southern Crescent Symphony Orchestra.

Brett Hoffman (2001)
Composition
Songwriting using Brett’s lyrics. Instrumentation consisted of partial orchestra and band instruments.
Tina Norgard (2001)
Composition
Song writing using lyrics provided by a woman in the Netherlands. Instrumentation (three versions) consisted of full orchestra, piano reduction, and contemporary band. Song was sung by a girl from London and produced in Denmark. This work was given to charity for African kids.

Composed Christmas work for full Hand bell choir. Was performed twice within the year.

Listening to tapes and converting them into notation in the style of Gospel music. Did several pieces and submitted them for publication.

- Performed flute on numerous Noon Recitals at Clayton College and State University including my own compositions.
- Performed flute on three student recitals including two that I arranged works for.

- Helped start a chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI) at Clayton College and State University and was a member. We had numerous fund raisers and hosted a Swing Dance party (I was a swing dance instructor).
